Now MS decided to throw it out for me and force me to start from scratch. I invested many years of my own time and money (courses and books etc) learning the menu. Like me who memorized the locations of features they use in the menu. The ribbon is intended to make it easier for new users (ie new customers, new money) to find stuff. To make 2007 'look' like it was a major upgrade to trick people to buy it. The reason that MS introduced the Ribbon was simple.
